Dr. Ron Danner received his undergraduate education from the University of North Dakota. He graduated from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois, in 1972 with a Doctor of Optometry degree (O.D.). Dr. Danner established a private practice in Craig, Colorado, in 1974. In 1996, he and Dr. Eckroth joined forces and renamed the practice Eyecare Specialties of Northwest Colorado.

Dr. Danner provides patient care at both the Craig and Steamboat offices. In addition, he is an allied health care provider at both The Memorial Hospital, Craig, Colorado, and Pioneer Medical Center, Meeker, Colorado.

Dr. Danner has been a member of the Colorado Optometric Association since 1972 and has received numerous awards through that organization, including Optometrist of the Year (1988 and 1992) and the Distinguished Service Award (2003). He is also a member of the American Optometric Association, the Optometric Extension Program, Colorado Optometric Center, the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Danner believes strongly in and actively participates in community service. He has been a member of the Board of Directors, First National Bank of the Rockies, since 2001. Outside the office, he enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Dr. Danner is committed to ongoing training and has achieved advanced certification allowing him to fit Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT) contact lenses and SynergEyes hybrid contact lenses. He provides general and medical eye care to patients of all ages.
