MJK Sales and Feed, Inc has served Northwest Colorado for more than 30 years. MJK was founded in 1976 by Mike J. Kawcak, Sr. and Lonnie A. Kawcak. The business’s first location was in the 300 block of School Street in Craig. There they sold farm equipment, fencing, and a small amount of hardware. In 1978 they bought Roger’s Grain Elevator for the Feed Store, and built MJK Sale’s hardware store beside the Elevator at 290 Ranney Street. In 1985, MJK Sales and Feed, Inc became an Ace Hardware store, and since then Ace has been the major supplier for MJK. We have many other suppliers for culvert, fence, rock, paint, lumber, etc. The Ace hardware store at 290 Ranney Street went through three expansions and three remodels to bring it to approximately 11,000 square feet. In fall of 2012, Lonnie and Lorraine Kawcak, owners of MJK Sales and Feed opened their new MJK Ace store at 2315 West First Street in Craig. At approximately 24,000 square feet, MJK Ace houses the following departments: Tack, Sporting goods, clothing and boots, Hardware, Tools, Electrical, Plumbing, Stoves, Lawn and Garden, Paint, Housewares, Kitchenwares, Giftware, and Seasonal inside the store. Out in the yard, MJK Ace offers fencing materials, culvert, landscape material, farm equipment, water supplies and more. The MJK Feed Store remains at the Elevator, and the old hardware store at 290 Ranney Street became MJK Lumber and Design Center. The Lumber and Design Center houses a small selection of hardware and tools, specializing in builder and contractor supply: covered dimensional treated and untreated lumber, plywood and OSB, drywall, insulation, roofing supplies, decking materials, windows and doors, bathroom fixtures, fasteners and the ability to order much, much more for your ground up build or project.
