A Strings performance should be included in plans for any music lover living or visiting Steamboat. The festival offers diverse live performances, including country/bluegrass, folk rock and classical, in a beautiful pavilion near the ski mountain. Shows are offered year-round, with most focused in the summer/fall months. Their summer shows include affordable performances for kids (with afternoon and evening showings) and free "Music on the Green" shows at Yampa River Botanic Park. The festival continues to attract big names like Kathy Mattea and Kenny Loggins. Steamboat wouldn't be Steamboat without Strings.
