Uh, if Voltaire said it, I don't know about it nor do I care. That is something my mother used to say to non believers all the time; from my youth and until the time of her departing she said it. It makes perfect sense to Christians and hopefully plants a seed in those who aren't. Before you accuse people of quoting something, you should be factually sure of their source. I personally feel Volatire had a big mouth and would intentionally spew forth nonsense without thinking it through. Voltaire was a critic of most religions but the Catholic religion most of all. I'm not Catholic and I don't take most men seriously who have a womans middle name... François-Marie Arouet = Volatire. heh

I look at it like this..... if Christians are wrong; They have absolutely NOTHING to lose, but if non-believers are wrong? They have EVERYTHING to lose.

The picture didn't have to be removed, its private property that was NOT involved in any criminal activity therefore, the owner could have refused and if the officer demanded then he could have been in some hot water. The situation with the rocks falling has been happening for years, alot of them, without any productive, preventative measures. I believe they just "hope" everyone passing by will drive fast enough to actually miss getting hit/killed by the falling rocks. It's bad enough it happened to those who were involved, however, I'm thankful it wasn't a motor cycle w/driver. I hope the drivers of the vehicles sue CDOT for neglegance; their lack of resolve concerning those falling rocks is unexcuseable.... in my opinion, of course.

Ok, ok, I got it. I don't really care if there are deer around or not, but the situation has revived a memory. Some time ago (years) there was a raccoon in my yard. My dogs were making a huge fuss and when I identified the animal I called the police department who in turn called animal control. A dow officer showed up some hours later. I showed him where the animal was and in front of myself and my two small children, he went back to his company vehicle, grabbed a baseball bat, walked over to the raccoon, bashed it in the head, picked it up, blood dripping and all, and put it in the back of his truck and left. How's that for a "test of their policy". Geeze

If the bear would have killed him, or another human being, it would have been put down. Save the dogs, save the cats, save the whales, save the deer, save the bears. I'm not for being "inhumane", I just believe time could be better spent saving the "human beings".

Fact: If she knows/knew her job so well, or is as "trained and educated" in her field as she portrays, then she would have known about the Hatch Act to begin with. No one cares about an issue unless it affects them directly. (i.e. deer, city & county meetings, school board, etc.) Whatever her "mix of emotions" are/were she needs to accept responsibility for that. She of all people should have known you don't just show up to take a test without research, thorough preparation and extensive study. You show up to take the Bar Exam and if you fail, you fail. You don't get to go have the rules changed and tailored to your needs because you live in a small town. The county spent money on her going to election seminars and County Clerk's Conferences, not to mention all the time she has in between elections for research and study. It's like going to purchase a Jaguar and leaving the lot with a Volkswagon bug because you didn't read the fine print. Surely she can relate to that. Bottom line.... she should have known.

I seriously doubt the county commissioners will make her start at minimum wage for whatever position she now holds. I wouldn't be surprised if they let her resume her "vacated" position and resume her accumulated vacation time, along with her 401K and benefits; all because she is Lila.

I agree with CSUalum, I am sick to death of hearing about her and this issue, I am immediately nausiated when I see and hear the "politics" that happen in that office and in the court house. Karma.... it WILL come around. Let this dead horse alone.

Ghosts: If the term means “spirit beings,” the answer is a qualified “yes.” If the term means “spirits of people who have died,” the answer is “no”. The Bible makes it abundantly clear that there are spirit beings, both good and evil. But the Bible negates the idea that the spirits of deceased human beings can remain on earth and “haunt” the living.

Hebrews 9:27 declares, “Man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.” That is what happens to a person’s soul-spirit after death…. judgment. The result of this judgment is heaven for the believer (2 Corinthians 5:6-8; Philippians 1:23) and hell for the unbeliever (Matthew 25:46, Luke 16:22-24). There is no in-between. (Further research needed? uh, no) There is no possibility of remaining on earth in spirit form as a “ghost.” If there are such things as ghosts, according to the Bible, they absolutely cannot be the disembodied spirits of deceased human beings.

The Bible teaches very clearly that there are indeed spirit beings who can connect with and appear in our physical world. The bible identifies these beings as angels and demons. Angels are spirit beings who are faithful in serving God. Demons are evil, deceptive, and destructive. According to 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, demons masquerade as “angels of light” and as “servants of righteousness.” Appearing as a “ghost” and impersonating a deceased human being definitely seem to be within the power and abilities that demons possess.

The closest biblical example of a “haunting” is found in Mark 5:1-20. A legion of demons possessed a man and used the man to haunt a graveyard. There were no ghosts involved. It was a case of a normal person being controlled by demons to terrorize the people of that area. Demons only seed to “kill, steal, and destroy” (John 10:10). They will do anything within their power to deceive people, to lead people away from God. This is very likely the explanation of “ghostly” activity today. Where it is called a ghost, a ghoul, or a poltergeist, if there is genuine evil spiritual activity occurring, it is the work of demons.

We are all entitled to our own opinions, and while we have the right to have that different opinion, I believe it does not give anyone the right to be cruel. My philosophy is this….if I’m wrong?, I have nothing to lose; But if the other person is wrong? They may have EVERYTHING to lose.

The problem is corruption. After this man gets to go back to Mexico for free, compliments of our transporters, he can simply visit those who, for quite a high price, can speak to the "insiders" at the government offices just on the other side of US soil and purchase documents which provide him with a different name, and all the necessary documents he needs to come back to the US... WHICH... will prove legitimate when scanned into the "system" and then he gets a new life with a new name and no record! Yay! Welcome to the United States! Ugh. Now I agre we should seal the border, however, that will never happen. Government officials will lead you to believe they are in the process of getting things under control, but such is not the case. It has been said, at the Denver Mint, they are making the Amero and in MY OPINION, the borders between Canada, US and Mexico will all be dropped. Implementation would involve these three countries giving up their current currency units (U.S. dollar, Canadian dollar, and Mexican peso) and adopting a new one, created specifically for this purpose. (The concept is modeled on the common European Union currency (the euro), and it is argued to be a natural extension of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP).

Although no current members of any country's government have officially stated a desire to create such a body, nor has anyone introduced a common currency as part of this concept, I believe the government will gradually introduce and enforce the program. My point being that knowing these things, is it just a waste of time and money to send them back? Every illegal we send back just means more money for their corrupt government. It appears to be a constant win/lose situation.
