sljsmom, At the time that I wrote my comment the yes/no was even at 34% each.
So far I'm surprised by this survey !
A good write Bridget that honors a local hero. Thanks to you and our hero!
Well written Joe and a very interesting interview response. Bring on more of the same for these heros!
Let's hear a big hurrah for Gary Johnston! He saw a need, had the experience, found and inacted program. He is envovling the parents, the prime motivators for their children students. If other other community persons would become envovled we could bring a community envolment to strengthen our children and schools. Can we and will you do this?
Don't look to the "local officals" to lead, look to them as representatives. Citizens are to voice their opinions and issues to their representatives. Thoughtful citizens inform themselves and often have ideas for solutions making for stronger governace. The representaives work thru the goverment and local entities to provide solutions. Often this is, and should be, thru local nontaxing solutions with citizen help.
Tuesday may have been a lack of citizen interest since their was no business to be discussed. But according to this survey citizens are displeased. If you have issues bring them to the attention of the City Council or County Commission. Our goverment from the top down and bottom up is designed to be a representative government, but the citizenry must speak up. And yes, you can speak up, noone is more important than you."They" represent you!
@ 3 canines I have truthfully and politely told you that the neighbors cared about the dog and the man that owned Leo. (I do not like the word "owned" and "prefer had a pet"} and that you do not know the situation. If you do make another negative remark about the neighbors I will ask the paper to act on the matter.
I certainly hope my schedule allows seeing this group. Look them up on the internet for their videos, their great.
I as well stand by my real regard in this situation that I cared more than you certainly know, because I was there and you were not..
Congradulations on your promotion to Chief Petty Officer, it takes a lot to get there and there is a lot of responsibility. Do well and thank you for service.
