After hearing about the changes I decided not to go to Whittle the Wood. Sitting in the park all day filled with thousands of Craig residents....SOBER? I think not.

I'm mostly with ya... I love going to Whittle the Wood to people watch. Watching sober people is a lot less interesting, but I don't think there was much of a choice to this decision. Hosting a huge open-alcohol party like that generates a lot of liability.

It didn't really have much inpact in my opinion. It seems like people were overserved so there was not much regulation and I saw plenty of people with flasks and bottles that made it past the gates. Instead of these people enjoying beer, they were fueled on liquor.

I feel that the beer garden cut down on the really drunk people. The event wasn't alcohol free, you just couldn't bring your own. If you attend concerts anywhere else, Steamboat, Red Rocks, Pepsi Center, you can't take alcohol in those places either. I think for the most part people were understanding and had a great time!

It's sad that some people can't celebrate anything unless they have booze. Sad.

I went and had a good time. Loved all the carvings this year. The alcohol seemed to be overserved and I wonder who regulates the serving or they were going to their vehicles and taking a nip here and there. Also, one of the people who were supposed to be checking coolers that were being brought in, blatantly said they weren't checking them, so there seemed to be a way to get it in anyway. All in all, I had a great time as I do every year. People watching when you are sober and the other people aren't is just good fun.
